Waterfront properties in Texas have been a hidden treasure and are now, indeed, beginning to shine. From our gorgeous lakes to the beaches of our Gulf coast, we have waterfront property to meet real estate needs- from those searching for a little getaway to those looking for a corporate retreat to those looking for investment purposes . South Padre Island is uniquely situated off the southern tip of Texas and since it is not in the typical Gulf stream, our water tends to be a beautiful blue-green and our sand is lighter than usual on the Texas coast. We also enjoy the benefits of the Laguna Madre (our Mother Bay); it is a hyper-saline bay and serves as a nursery for shrimp and a variety of fish, including several families of dolphin. Going inland, we are blessed with resacas (also called ox bow lakes in some parts of the country) that serve as sources of beauty, as nourishment for our huge bird population, and as a source of irrigation for some of the orange and grapefruit orchards.
