1930 Log Cabin With Private Lake For Rent in East Texas

If you would like to take a step back in time and enjoy the peace and serenity of nature, then this is the place for you!  My son and two friends rented this cabin for the weekend, and had a great time.  Located 45 minutes from Mt. Pleasant and 20 minutes from Jefferson, Texas, it was an easy drive from Dallas.  Michelle Skelton, the owner took great care of us.  When we arrived at the cabin, she had already been there to open the doors, turn on the fans and drop off a pot of beans, some fresh cornbread and pepper pickle relish that her mother made for us.  She made sure that we had everything we needed including towels, linens, etc.  We set up our camp and lighted the new gas grill to enjoy some steaks we brought for the first night.  Using the two boats on the property, we spent all day fishing on Saturday and came away with a nice stringer of Black Crappie which we grilled on Saturday night.  We did not see or hear another person the entire weekend.  The only sounds were frogs, coyotes, hawks and the sound of jumping fish on the lake!  Visit www.1930logcabinbythelake.com for more information.
